The UNM Art Museum Director Search Committee has invited three candidates to campus to give a public lecture at the Museum and following the lecture the UNM Art Museum will host a reception with the candidate. These events are open to the public and we hope that you can join us as we prepare to usher in a new era at the museum. Each candidate will speak about the role of collaboration in museums or in the arts. All events will be at the UNM Art Museum. Candidate #3 information will be announced prior to their lecture/reception.

For over two decades at AAM-accredited museums, Jason Steuber has served successfully as a curator, educator, museum leader, endowed chair, published scholar, fund-raiser, public speaker, financial decision maker, and staff supervisor. Since 2008, he has supervised a $20 million museum expansion at the University of Florida, tripled Asian art collection holdings, and established new audience engagement programs and prominent peer-reviewed manuscript series. His leadership experiences include serving as board secretary for a national grant-making foundation, as NEH grant proposal reviewer, and as CAA peer reviewer; developing museum strategic plans; standardizing image digitization for online and print publications; and establishing and coordinating best practices for AAM accreditation.
